This morning I did a (very) modified version of NROLFW stage 4 workout A. I didn’t have a full hour or more to devote to lifting, plus I just wasn’t in the mood, but I knew I needed to get back to the weights – it’s been almost a month!
So here’s what I did:
Sumo squat: 1 set of 10 reps at 50 lbs.
Step-up: 1 set of 8 at 70 lbs.
Static lunge: 2 sets of 8 at 50 lbs.
Incline push-up: 2 sets of 8
Dumbbell one-point row: 2 sets of 8 at 50 lbs.
I wasn’t really planning to run today, but we had the most beautiful weather I’ve seen since early spring. After three straight days of rain and many, many months of heat and humidity, we had a gorgeous sunny day in the high 70′s, and it felt amazing. So my son and I headed to the park and I did a 2-mile run, which seemed just a tiny bit easier than usual thanks to the cooler weather. It’s remarkable how much the weather can affect your mood!
