I’m so happy to announce that our baby girl is finally here. She arrived on July 26th weighing 9 lbs. 1 oz. and measuring 21 inches. I was induced at 40 weeks + 5 days and had a natural and relatively easy delivery. Two days later we headed home, and we’ve been enjoying life as a family of four.
Other than being exhausted, I feel great and I can’t wait to start working out again. Running sounds amazing right now, and I’ve been pulling out my old workout clothes and playing around with my running playlists in anticipation of hitting the pavement again. I still have to wait a few weeks before I’m cleared to exercise, but this morning I took my first real walk with the kids and it felt fantastic. I can’t stay out for too long since the heat is a bit much for a newborn, but I’m hoping to make morning walks a regular part of the routine until I can get back to higher intensity exercise.
Anyway, just wanted to do a quick update on where I’ve been, and let you know I plan to get back to regular blogging again!
