Well, you probably saw it coming; I know I did. I skipped my NROLFW workouts this week. I only had two left before finishing up stage 3, but I’ve just been feeling a bit burnt out on lifting, and I needed a week off. Next week I plan to do the two remaining workouts (perhaps modifying them a bit), then take a little bit of time off before starting stage 4. I’ve really been enjoying switching up my fitness routine a bit.
In addition to Monday’s Body Rock workout, here’s what I did this week:
Tuesday: 1.5 mile run
Thursday: 2 mile run (farthest I’ve ever run!!)
Friday: Body Rock Fierce Friday workout in 14 minutes- talk about an ass kicker!
Today: 2 mile run
I feel awesome about hitting the 2-mile, uh, milestone. I know that’s child’s play for most runners but I’ve come a long way in the past few months of jogging! Unfortunately, I think I need to take a few days off from running due to shin splints.
The Body Rock routines have been great, too. I love putting in just 10 to 12 minutes of effort (serious effort) and knowing that I’ve gotten a great workout. I was totally made for that type of exercise – super quick and super intense, so there’s no time to get bored or think about how badly I want to quit!
Now I’m off to enjoy my big treat of the week: homemade chocolate cake!!
