Eric Pulier: Rising Venture Capitalist in Los Angeles

Eric Pulier is a philanthropist, venture capitalist, entrepreneur and published author. His work within the tech industry has gained some steam over the years with companies like Digital Evolution and vAtomic Systems at his back. Pulier is a focused tech innovator who has always been on the cutting edge of several key platforms within the tech field. Pulieropened up in an interview in order to spill some of his industry secrets in how he approaches work in such competitive industry.

Eric Pulier was born in New Jersey and raised there. From a young age it was clear that he had a very deliberate passion: technology. Pulier says, “I have always had a passion for technology.” This, of course, would be quite the understatement. Pulier would be introduced to computers in grade school and before high school came around he would already know how to program. In high school Pulier came to another stunning realization, “I quickly realized that the best ideas in the world are useless if you do not have a way to bring them to a large market.” This was Pulier’s business oriented mind telling him that he had to embrace his role as an entrepreneur, and that is exactly what he did.

Pulier would attend Harvard after high school and there he would make a name for himself as a quick witted and sharp mind as the editor for the Harvard Crimson. His paper covered range of topics that were deemed ahead of their time, especially in the ’80s and ’90s, including terrorism. After graduation Pulier knew what he had to do: head west.Pulier landed in Los Angeles in the early ’90s and immediately got to work. Pulier says, “As a venture capitalist, I am constantly searching for new ideas to invest in.”

A key cog in the success of Pulier’s developmental process is his ability to work with, understand, and fundamentally read people.
