Saad Saad has been a pediatric surgeon for the past 47 years. He has completed thousands of pediatric surgeries to children and young adults from different backgrounds. He has participated in medical missions in the United States and beyond. He has been to the Middle East eight times on such medical missions where he has offered free pediatric surgeries. In addition, he has innovated various medical procedures as well as securing two patented innovations.
Saad Saad was born in Palestine but grew up in Kuwait. Growing up in Kuwait, he wanted to be an engineer like two of his older siblings. He was however discouraged by the high temperatures recorded in the area. He wanted a career he could spend more time indoors. He chose to be a surgeon who would work from the air-conditioned surgery rooms.
Although he never pursued engineering, he is naturally talented in engineering. The inventions he has made are proof of his engineering capabilities.
Saad Saad attended Cairo University where he graduated with honors in a medical degree. He says that his humble background was the motivation he had to do well in school. He wanted a good life, and this could only have been achieved through hard work. After his degree, he traveled to Beirut, Lebanon for ECFMG exam. This is the exam that gave him an opportunity to train in the United States after he passed.
Before Dr. Saad immigrated to the United States, he attended an internship in England. In the U.S he pursued a residency in pediatric surgery and was approved by the US Board of Pediatric Surgery.
Saad Saad practiced in New Jersey all his career although he left to serve in the Middle East in the 1980s. He was hired by the Saudi Royal Family to offer pediatric surgery services at the King Faisal Hospital because he was the only US board certified surgeon who could speak in English and Arabic. He served for four and a half years.

Hurricane Harvey hit Huston in 2017 three times, moving back out to sea and coming back twice after its initial landfall. The category 4 storm, the largest to hit Texas in over 50 years, brought winds, floods and rain in record setting quantities. Dropping more than 15 trillion tons of water on south Texas, the storm kept doing flood damage long after it dissipated. More than 60 people lost their lives and thousand more lost pets, homes and possession, finding themselves displaced in quantities that the state and the nation were not prepared to deal with. MB2 Dental was hit by Harvey, having 25 of its Texas clinics and over 200 of its over 1,000 employees losing or suffereing damage to their homes and possessions. They also brought in material donations such as clothing, beds and bedding, food, bottled water and more. Villanueva has stated he ws proud of the MB2 employee family for the response to this disaster, saying that while profits come and go the real impact and legacy of MB2 is the help they provide to their employees, clients, patients and communities in time of need, such as when Hurricane Harvey had hit Texas.

He began inventing medical devices early into his career. He found that there were many improvements he could make two such devices, starting with the simple catheter. Catheters are used for a variety of reasons. Patients may find themselves being catheterized for heart issues so that doctors can regulate or get a better understanding of the situation. There are so many different situations where some type of catheter can be used, it is impossible to name them all. The point is that patients may sometimes find themselves in a situation where they need to have a catheter. In order to verify the placement of these catheters, doctors rely on x-ray equipment. X-ray equipment has its own risks when patients are subjected to repeated exposure to them. Dr. Saad Saad did not want to repeatedly subject his patients to this type of procedure, which seems excessive and unnecessary. The problem is that it was completely necessary, and Dr. Saad Saad needed to find a way to circumvent the x-ray process.
He found a way to do this by inserting an electromagnetic tip onto the catheter. This would allow doctors to located within the body using an electromagnetic field. Instead of subjecting the patient to harmful x-rays, patients would now have the option of having their catheters located through virtually harmless electromagnetic energy within the device itself. This invention, while helpful, is not yet in production. Manufacturers have seen a need for the device but are currently working on ways to reduce the cost of producing it.
