Giving birth to another human being is a miracle that most of us take for granted. Actually, that we even survive as long as we do given the various possible accidents and injuries that could occur from birth on is quite amazing as well. Yet many would not gain the opportunity to challenge either scenario without the help of experts like Dr. Jim Toner of the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM). The Center offers comprehensive biological examination, options and psychological wellness assessments to all of its clients and essential family members.
Dr. Jim Toner explains how crucial it is that the treating physician acquire a whole understanding of the clients’ position and how they feel about it. There must be discussion of prior attempts and review of the mental, biological, spiritual and environmental contemplations regarding their condition. There must be full disclosure of all parties’ contributions, particularly those behaviors that may affect reproductive health as individuals and as a family. For instance, some actions as seemingly innocent as bike riding or as ghastly as cigarette smoking may have significant effects on sperm or/and ovary health.
Dr. Jim Toner counsels colleagues through publications and oral paper deliveries at field conferences throughout the Nation. He observes and advises that clients and physicians benefit from discussing fully the various ramifications of assessments and treatment options. The emotional, psychological and financial tolls must all receive complete spectra of attention. Doing so permits the client family to focus on conceiving since they will have clarity beyond their basic concerns. This eliminates questions that would gnaw at their freedom toward successful pregnancy and family building. His clients report that they especially appreciate his thorough approach.
Dr. Jim Toner is well respected amongst his colleagues also. He has always taken pride in the ability to help others experience the joys of birth and parenthood. He first obtained his B.S. in Psychology from Philadelphia’s St. Joseph’s College. In 1985, he earned both doctorates in Medicine and Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania with high honors and rewards throughout his educational development. While Director of the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia, Dr. Jim Toner successfully launched his Third Party Reproduction Program, an ova donation collaboration which he continues through ACRM where he and his colleagues enjoy a stellar reputation. Both AETNA (since 2008) and OPTUM (since 2007) rate the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine as Excellent in their field and industry. They all welcome new and returning clients in the joint mission of building healthy families.
