Dr. Rod Rohrich, internationally renowned plastic surgeon will have a hectic schedule in 2018. The Dallas, Texas based expert will be involved in a large number of symposia beginning very early in the year. A University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center professor of plastic surgery, Dr. Rohrich will play an important role in the February 8th to 10th Baker Gordon Educational Symposium in Miami. It’s the 52nd year it will be held and is America’s largest live surgery symposia. He will also chair the 21st Annual Global Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine Meeting in late February and the 35th annual Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting to be held March 2nd and 3rd.
A globally acknowledged expert on plastic surgery, Dr. Rod Rohrich has drawn universal praise for his ability to restore the face and body to its youthful look and definition with artistic skill. One of the United States’ top plastic surgeons, his work reflects the technical advances that have been made in cosmetic surgery. The gatherings in which he is involved include America’s largest live surgery symposia. They have played a role in training plastic surgeons by the thousands. The meetings also feature lectures, video demonstrations and panel discussions on the latest innovations in the field by world-class faculty.
Some of the topic to be discussed at the symposia include skin tightening techniques, noninvasive fat removal, vaginal rejuvenation, innovations like lasers and IPL and patient safety and ethical social marketing. The latest advances and techniques in body, breast and face contouring will also be highlighted. Dr. Rohrich and other experts in cosmetic surgery will also speak on the efficacy of new technologies and techniques and the overall evolution of the field of plastic surgery and offer opportunities for hands-on involvement in the fresh cadaver lab.
A North Dakota native, Dr. Rodney J. Rohrich, MD has undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from the University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University. He went on to the College of Medicine at Baylor University where he earned his medical degree. His next move was to the University of Michigan Medical Center to do his residencies in both plastic surgery and general surgery. Dr. Rohrich then attented Oxford University for pediatric plastic surgery advanced training. At Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, he did a microvascular and hand fellowship.
